About Todos Santos the best place for Surfing
Just steps away from the Hacienda is the world famous Cerritos Beach Club. Enjoy great food and drinks on the beach while listening to live music. Singing jazz, the beautiful Dalene Jones performs every Sunday. Keep your eyes out for celebrities such as Rob Lowe, Adam Sandler, Tommy Lee, Keith Jardine, Kelly Slater and of course Sammy Hagar, all have been spotted at the beach club.
Cerritos Beach is well known for it's exceptional surfing. It is also the only swimmable beach on the Pacific for hundreds of miles. We have 2 surf shops, you can rent a board or take a private or group lesson, or just go for a swim- the water is great!
Fish off the beach or on the rocks off the point. Rent a pole, spear fishing gear or panga boat. The boats from Cabo rarely go up this far, so you can enjoy the uncrowded ocean for exceptional fishing. When the whales come through the waters are thick with these giant mammals. Watching whales from the Hacienda or Cerritos beach is absolutely fascinating and thrilling to see.
Horseback riding, ATV or mountain bike rentals, endless dessert or beach hiking with breathtaking destinations are just some of the few things to do while at Hacienda Cerritos. The Sierra De Laguna nature preserve is right in our back yard. The nearby waterfalls is a refreshing destination point for an ATV ride. Just over the hill from us is the beautiful freshwater lagoon of Palm Beach.
Explore the artist colony and historic town of Todos Santos, it's just a few miles north of us. First class restaurants, art galleries, shops, book store, local crafts, coffee shops and bars are just some of the reasons you will fall in love with this adorable and quaint town. Here you will find the friendliest people on the Baja.
You can get a massage in your room, on the beach, or perhaps in our cliffside palapa. The massage therapists are excellent, offering numerous types of therapeutic massage or skin treatments. The most popular form of relaxation (of course) is lying in the sun; with 4 pools, shady hammocks, an endless beach and plenty of ice cold drinks, it doesn't get much better than that.

Just eight miles from Hacienda Cerritos lies the charming coastal town of Todos Santos. At the foothills of the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains, on the Pacific coast side of the Baja California Peninsula, Todos Santos is about an hour's drive north of Cabo San Lucas on Highway 19 and an hour's drive southwest from La Paz. Todos Santos is located very near the Tropic of Cancer in the municipality of La Paz. The population was 4,078 at the census of 2005.
During the 19th century Todos Santos thrived as the Baja sugarcane capital, which is still evident by the ruins of sugar mills. Now the rich farmlands have been re-worked & the town prospers from an abundance of vegetable & chili farming, avocado, papaya & mango orchards, fishing & ranching.
The mission Nuestra Señora del Pilar de La Paz was founded by father Jaime Bravo in 1723. It is located across the street to the southwest from the small town plaza. This mission contains the statue of the Virgin of Pilar, which is the focus of Todos Santos main festival in October.
More recently, there has been a gradual increase in tourist activity and a boom in real estate development. Handicraft shops, owner-operated art galleries featuring landscape paintings of local scenes (some artists from Guadalajara and other parts of Mexico also exhibit works in Todos Santos,) upscale restaurants, boutique hotels and restored colonial buildings have contributed to the gentrification and redevelopment of the town.
There are many beautiful beaches within a 10 minute drive of Todos Santos. However, some of the area’s beaches, with rip tides, undertows, and fairly steep drop offs that are close to shore, are not considered safe for swimming. Playa Los Cerritos, just steps from the Hacienda, is the only swimmable and surfing beach in the area. San Pedrito Point, Los Cerritos and other local surf breaks attract surfers from around the world. Hacienda Cerritos and the Cerritos Surf Colony are the only accommodations on Cerritos Beach.
Todos Santos, Baja California Sur, was named a "Pueblo Mágico" in 2006.
